Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does fitting size and shape really make a difference in oil flow?
A: The APPLIEDSPEEDkit's10 AN fittings flow 45 GPM well above most engines' actual pump output so the fittings are never the restriction. Budget kits using8 AN or NPT fittings cap out at 25-30 GPM, which can become a bottleneck, especially on high-revving V8 or DOHC builds pushing past 6,200 RPM where every drop of pressure matters.
Q: Can't I just buy a budget kit and replace it if it fails?
A: You could, but you're taking the risk of losing an engine from oil pressure drop. With our kits, you never worry about it again, and it adds great looks to boot!
Q: What if I'm selling the car in a few years?
A: Then maybe a budget kit makes sense for you. Our kit is for enthusiasts who plan to keep and enjoy their vehicles. That said, a quality oil system upgrade adds resale value serious buyers recognize premium components.
Q: How do I know your kit is really better?
A: Compare component specs side-by-side (see table above). Check our three-year warranty vs their 90-day warranty, if any. Read verified customer reviews. Ask anyone who's tried both they'll tell you the quality difference is obvious the moment you open the box.
Q: What if it doesn't fit my specific vehicle?
A: We have 157+ vehicle applications with complete fitment data. Use our fitment guide or contact us with your VIN we'll verify fitment before you order. If we make a fitment mistake, we pay for return shipping and issue a 100% refund. Zero risk to you.
Q: Is installation difficult?
A: If you can change your oil, you can install this kit. It takes 2-4 hours with basic hand tools. We include detailed instructions with photos. The swivel AN fittings (premium feature) make installation easy budget kits with fixed NPT fittings are much harder to install correctly.
Q: What if I find it cheaper somewhere else?
A: You'll find cheaper kits they're not the same quality and ourFullFlow© promise. Compare the specifications. Check their warranty. Read their reviews about failures. You're not comparing apples to apples. Our kit costs more because it IS more quality, more durable, more peace of mind. Did I mention more oil flow and less pressure loss?
